Hazel G. Skinner, 74, of Jasper, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at Walker Baptist Medical Center. She was a longtime member of Maranatha Baptist Church, song leader, WMU President, Sunday School treasurer, worked in the soup kitchen and was a member of the singing group “Sisterenes.”

Visitation will be at 5 p.m. today, Nov. 15, 2012, at Maranatha Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Maranatha Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Cross Roads Cemetery in Jasper. Jerry Boyd will officiate.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Skinner; sisters, Louise Upton and Gladys Hudson; brother, Junior Norris; father, Harley Norris; mother, Biddie Norris; and son, John Randall Skinner.

She is survived by her daughters, Annette Malloy (Norman) of Jasper and Amy Pilkington (Johnny); sons, Carlos Norris (Beverly) and Kenneth Skinner (Lynn); special sister, Marie Buford; brother, Henry Norris; grandchildren, Kristy Malloy, Shawn Pilkington, Carson Pilkington and Brilon Pilkington; and great-grandchildren, Jace, Hayden, Kasen, Ethan, Wayne, Sissy, Isabella and Jaxson.
