Rex A. Clements, 74, of Sumiton, passed away on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at Civic Center Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was a graduate of Alabama Christian High School and Jacksonville State University. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served four years in the Strategic Air Command. He worked as a purchasing agent for Exxon in Africa, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Minister Barry Bennett will officiate.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Christine Brickey; and his sister, Mary Sue Hayworth.

He is survived by his son, Kris Clements of Dora; and his sister, Doris Leggett of South Carolina.
