Carbon Hill's defense started off strong, holding the Eagles to a three-and-out. On the ensuing drive, however, Daniel Woodard's pass was intercepted by Caleb Ellison at midfield and returned to the Bulldog 31-yard line. Six plays later, Nicholas Speer ran in from the one to put Cold Springs on the board. The failed 2-point conversion left the score at 6-0.
Carbon Hill's next drive didn't last long as Ryan Simerly fumbled the ball away on the his own 49-yard line. The Eagles would again turn the turnover into points as Logan Campbell ran for a 22 yard touchdown. He ran in the 2-point conversion to make the score 14-0.
Cold Springs’ next drive started at its own 46-yard line. Two plays later, Vincent Stewart broke away for a 49-yard touchdown run, making the score 20-0.
A 44-yard kickoff return by Steven Mitchell and a 15 yard penalty against the Eagles set Carbon Hill up on the Eagle 23-yard line. Two plays later, Ryan Simerly ran in from 12 yards out to put the Bulldogs on the board, 20-7.
After forcing Cold Springs to punt, Stewart intercepted Woodard's pass and returned it 80 yards for another Eagle touchdown, building their lead 27-7.
The Bulldogs started their next drive in Eagle territory. Simerly set the Bulldogs up on the 20 after a 24 yard run. Five plays later, Mitchell put the 'Dawgs on the board again from one yard out making the half time score 27-14.
After trading possessions to start the half, Cold Springs marched down the field. However, Campbell fumbled the ball on the 19-yard line and the Bulldogs came out of the pile with it. Carbon Hill covered the length of the field in four plays, with Simerly scoring again on a 12-yard run. Woodard ran in the 2-point conversion, making it 27-22 with 11:27 left in the game.
Stewart and Campbell combined for 56 yards rushing on the next drive leading to another Eagle touchdown. The failed 2-point conversion made it an 11-point game with 8:29 left in the game. Carbon's Hill's next drive started with Woodard passing to his left to Steven Simerly for a loss. However Steven did not get up from the hit. After being worked on for several minutes, he was carried off the field. With 2:00 left in the game, Campbell ran in from 25 yards out to cap off the night's scoring, making the final score 40-22.
Carbon Hill finished the night with 9 penalties for 75 yards. Daniel Woodard went 6-for-13 passing for 29 yards and three interceptions. Ryan Simerly rushed for 189 yards, 2 touchdowns, and a lost fumble. Cold Springs' Logan Campbell ran for 152 yards and three touchdowns. Vincent Stewart ran for 120 yards and a touchdown.
