Scott and Cindy Woodley of Jasper are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Morgan Woodley, to Richard Justin Bates, the son of Ricky and Lisa Bates of Jasper.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Glenn and Ruth Snelgrove, Gail Williams and the late Bill Woodley, and the late DeVane Williams.
She is a 2004 graduate of Curry High School. She attended UNA and is a graduate of Jasper Beauty Academy. She is currently employed with Curry Beauty Salon.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Bobby and Bobbie Nell Cleghorn of Cullman, and Richard and Charlotte Bates of Jasper.
He is a 2005 graduate of Walker High School, a 2008 graduate of Bevill State with an ADN in nursing and a 2012 graduate of Jacksonville State with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. He plans to attend the UAB nurse practioner program in January 2013. He is currently employed with Baptist Health System-Princeton.
The wedding will take place at 6 p.m. on Oct. 6, 2012, at Musgrove Country Club.

Mr. and Mrs. Billy Joe Owens of Fayette, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Stephanie Paige Owens, to Mason Blake McGough, the son of Scot and Paula Pendley and Johnny McGough of Berry.
The bride is the granddaughter of W.B. and Elizabeth Owens of Fayette and the late Thomas and Dorothy Pinion of Fayette. She is a graduate of Fayette County High School and attended ICC where she pursued an associate degree in art. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. She was a featured twirler in the ICC All-American Band. She graduated from Bevill State with a degree in nursing. She is currently employed at Morningside Assisted Living where she is the Resident Service Director. She also serves as the Marion County High School majorette sponsor.
The groom is the grandson of Charles and Evelyn Segrest, Ray McGough and the late C.L. McGough and Truman and Peggy Pendley, all of Berry. He is a graduate of Oakman High School and is currently employed by YD Home Medical Equipment and Supplies of Fayette.
The wedding will be an event of Saturday, October 6, 2012, at 4 p.m. at Unity Baptist Church of Fayette.

Tim and Stefanie Watley of Clanton, and Remy and Anna Curtis of Pell City, are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming wedding of their daughter, Brittany Nichole Curtis, to Bradley Curtis Brand, the son of Curt and Betty Brand of Clanton.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of David and Linda Collins of Clanton, Peggy Pearson of Clanton, and David and Peggy Cook of Austell, Ga. She is the great-granddaughter of the late Bill and Gertrude Geeslin formerly of Jasper, and the late J.G. and Evelyn Collins of Thach and the great-niece of the late Mildred Myers of Jasper, who passed away earlier this year.
She is a 2010 graduate of Thorsby High School and is majoring in business management at The University of Montevallo. She is presently employed with MMB, Inc. in Birmingham.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late George and Betty Sue Brand of Clanton and Willie Nell and the late Chester “Mutt” Cooedy of Clanton. He is a 2009 graduate of Chilton County High School and is presently employed with SunSouth John Deere in Clanton.
The wedding will take place at the Alabama 4-H Center in Columbiana on Sept. 30, 2012, at 4 p.m. All family and friends are invited to attend.
After the honeymoon, the couple will reside in Clanton.
