Yes, in the very beginning God made Adam and Eve — not Adam and Steve. Procreation was God's plan. Homosexuals cannot produce children.
Your writer needs to read the Old Testament also. Homosexuality was a capital offense under God’s law. Remember Sodom and Gomorrah!
