The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Charles T. Cheatham and Maude Freeman Cheatham of Jasper, and Kenneth Sr. and Nancy Gilbert of Aldridge.
The bride-elect is a 2010 graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor of science degree in Kinesiology.

She attended Bevill State Community College and is currently employed with Northwest Alabama Mental Health.
