Barbara Faye Cordes Moon, 68, of Jasper, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Walker Baptist Medical Center. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today, March 4, 2011, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Parlor. Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Coal City Cemetery in Jasper. Donnie Hyche will officiate.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Allen Moon; mother, Hazel C. Brown; uncle, Reuben Cordes; grandparents, John and Ida Cordes.

She is survived by her son, Reuben Michael Moon of Jasper; brothers, Lester ‘Bud’ Brown (Anna), Larry ‘Pete’ Brown (Patsy) and Cecil Lavon Brown (Charlita); aunts, Madell Cook Grace and Tressie Harvill; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
