The “What’s Going On” Section will be featured each Wednesday and Sunday in the A section of the Daily Mountain Eagle, and daily on the Community Calendar on the DME website at www.mountaineagle. com. Community and school events, and class and family reunions, are listed free of charge and run in chronological order by calendar date and time. Community and school events, and class and family reunions are only accepted from local civic, government, nonprofit (501(c)(3)) organizations, schools, high school classes, and families. The deadline to place a community or school event, class or family reunion is no later than noon on Tuesday or Friday of each week. Walker County Community Action Agency Inc., is now accepting application for the Summer Youth Program. Applicants must reside in Walker County and be between the ages of 4 and 15. Pilot Club of Jasper will meet the third Thursday of each month at noon at the Francis Israel Hospitality Center on the Bevill State Community College - Walker College Campus in Jasper.

Walker County Community Action Agency Inc. will host its 9th Annual Health Fair Saturday, April 22, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Jasper Civic Center located at 204 19th Street East in Jasper. This event will include free health screenings, healthy food and health/safety information, in addition to healthy stage activities for all ages. Children finger printing will be provided by the Walker County Sheriff’s Office (parents must be present). Drawings for door prizes every 30 minutes (must be present to win).
