Upcoming Herb Day postponed

Posted

The Jasper Herb Society's annual Herb Day fundraiser has been postponed to protect the health of participants during the COVID-19 outbreak.

The 11th annual event, which will be rescheduled as soon as it is safe to gather again, was set to take place on Saturday at 4 Seasons Garden Center.

In addition to the herbs, plants and vegetables that would have been for sale, members of the Herb Society would have been on hand to answer questions and to offer herbal refreshments with recipes.

The group had several activities for children planned, including free homemade herbal soap making and a free potting class.

All children who attended would have gotten a potted herb to take home.

A portion of the proceeds from Herb Day benefits the Jasper Herb Society for its work in the community such as the healing garden at Walker Cancer Center.
