Travis Baldwin, 72, a native son of Jasper, Ala. who resided in Olympia Fields, Ill., passed away on May 14, 2019 at Advocate Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Ill.
His wake and funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Leak & Sons Funeral Home, 18400 Pulaski Rd., Country Club Hills, IL 60473.
He’s returning home to Jasper and on May 25, 2019 at 11 a.m., Faith Chapel Funeral Home will receive family and friends at Shiloh Baptist Church for a viewing officiated by Pastor Jerry A. Seay. Interment to follow at Gay Reed Cemetery at noon.
Travis was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Baldwin, Sr.; mother, Mable Baldwin; sisters, Almeta Baldwin and Elsie Baldwin; brothers, Andrew Baldwin Jr., Robert Mathis, Quency Baldwin and Joseph Baldwin.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carolyn (Thomas) of Olympia Fields, Ill.; daughters, Tanquera and Kimshasa (Ajibade) Baldwin of Chicago, Ill.; son, Kwane (Stacy) Baldwin and granddaughter, Sanaia of New Orleans, La.; sisters, Nellie (Gregory) Calloway of Lynwood, Ill. and Mable McNealey of Jasper, Ala.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
