Daily Mountain Eagle - Ed HowellSynovus donates litter bags to 7,000 county studentsSenior vice president Lisa Killingsworth, left, and market president Shawn Morgan, middle, both of Synovus Bank in in Jasper, announced at Monday's Walker County Commission meeting that Synovus will provide 7,000 car litter bags to all of the county school students in Grades K-6. The bags are use to urge children and their parents not to litter and to promote the April 27 Cleanup Day across the county. Jerry Bishop, chairman of the commission, thanked Synovus "for being a good neighbor and being part of our clean up." Joining the Synovus officials is a county official who has spearheaded local cleanup efforts, Janet Adams-Clayton, the human resources coordinator and a payroll official with the commission office.
