Sawyer holds a one-stroke lead over Birmingham’s Ken Goforth, who shot an even par 71.

Two golfers, Avery Stansell of Homewood, and Jacob LeCroy of Anniston, enter today’s round four strokes back after opening with 74s. Joshua Darracott of Rogersville, Allen Michael Burnett of Sheffield and Trey Moore of Guntersville each shot a 75 on Monday and are five shots back.

Jasper’s Jacob Padgett is eight strokes back in ninth place.
