Prep Softball: Curry improves to 8-2

Curry's softball team improved to 8-2 on the season with an 11-4 home win over Good Hope on Wednesday.

The Yellow Jackets were led by Katie Jo Richardson who was 2 for 3 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs, Kylee Trotter was 3 for 3 with two RBIs, Linley Tubbs was 2 for 3 with two RBIs, Marissa Lawson was 1 for 2 with a double and two RBIs and Alayna Key was 2 for 2 with four stolen bases and three runs scored.

Alea Freeman got the win in the circle, giving up four runs, two earned, with six strikeouts in seven innings.

Curry opens area play at home against Fayette County today.
