The Carbon Hill Bulldogs dispatched a pair of opponents on Wednesday, beating the Hamilton Aggies, 7-5 and the Fayette County Tigers, 11-1 at Carbon Hill.

Prep Softball: Carbon Hill continues hot streak

The Carbon Hill Bulldogs dispatched a pair of opponents on Wednesday, beating the Hamilton Aggies, 7-5 and the Fayette County Tigers, 11-1 at Carbon Hill.

Karlie Ratliff pitched seven innings in the win for the Bulldogs — who have won six in a row — giving up a walk with six strikeouts.

At the plate, Adison Alexander went a perfect 3 for 3 with a run scored, two RBIs and three doubles, Ratliff was 2 for 4, Mahaley Pugh went 1 for 3 with a run and an RBI, Ana Grace Guy was 1 for 3 with an RBI, Abby Martin went 1 for 2 with a run and an RBI, Santana Clark had a double with a run and an RBI and Ally Martin, Allie Parr and Alayna Ivie each scored a run.

Sarah Stovall pitched five innings in the victory against Fayette County, giving up three hits, seven walks and striking out six batters.

Offensively, Clark was a perfect 3 for 3 with two runs scored, Alleigh Keeton went 3 for 4 with three runs, a double and an RBI, Ratliff was 2 for 3 with two runs and five RBIs, Abby Martin went 2 for 3 with a run and two RBIs, Alexander went 1 for 2, Ally Martin was 1 for 3 with a double and a run, Ivie had a hit with an RBI, Pugh scored a run with an RBI and Haleigh Lamon had a run.

Carbon Hill (20-14-2) faces Cordova at 1 p.m. today at Oakman.

No. 8 Corner 11, Oakman 4

Mackenzie Self pitched four innings in the win for Corner, recording two strikeouts. Ivey Hill pitched three shutout innings, giving up a hit, two walks and a strikeout.

At the plate for Corner (25-11), Jiselle Woodson went 3 for 5 with two runs, two RBIs, a double and a triple, Shauna Kelley was 2 for 4 with a run, Dakota Parker went 2 for 5 with two runs and an RBI, Lauren Higginbotham was 1 for 2 with two RBIs, Madelin Henson had a double with a run and three RBIs, Marlie Wakefield recorded a hit with a run and an RBI, Makenzie Self recorded a double with a run, Hill had a hit with a run and an RBI and Ashlynn Martin and Brantly Bonds scored a run each.

Katelyn Makemson pitched three and two-thirds innings for Oakman with four strikeouts. Jessy Aston pitched three and one-third innings with two strikeouts.

Offensively for Oakman, Iyana Canada was 2 for 4 with two RBIs, Shalayiah Waid was 1 for 3 with a run and an RBI, Allie Barrentine went 1 for 3 with a run, Bailey Webb and Terrah Sherer each had a hit with a run and Savannah Brown recorded a hit.

Oakman faces Dora at 1 p.m. today at Oakman High School.
