Four Jasper pitchers combined on a no-hitter Friday night at Winfield as the Vikings defeated the Pirates 10-1.

Parker Sawyer, Tyler Morrison, Seth Davidson and Topher Wilson allowed no hits and seven walks while striking out 12 Winfield batters.

Sawyer got the win, walking seven and striking out eight in 3 2/3 innings. Morrison went 1 1/3 innings striking out one, Davidson went one inning, striking out two and Wilson closed out the game, striking out one batter in the seventh.

Offensively, Jasper scored 10 runs on 11 hits, breaking the game open with a four-run fourth inning. The Vikings added two runs in the fourth, sixth and seventh innings.

Kaden Shelton led the team, going 3 for 4 with a pair of doubles, two runs and two RBIs, Sawyer was 2 for 4 with two RBIs, Nick Keeton was 1 for 2 with one run and two RBIs, Jon Burton was 1 for 2 with a run and an RBI, Mayson Slaughter was 1 for 4 with two RBIs,  Tyler Thomasson was 1 for 3 with a run and both Luke Hood and John Michael Crump scored runs.

Jasper (2-1) won its first meeting over Winfield 18-5 on Monday.

The Vikings play at Deshler today and at Curry on Monday.

Oakman 5, Carbon Hill 0

Oakman earned its first win of the season on Friday, blanking Carbon Hill 5-0 at home behind the arms of Cristian Lopez and Blake Lollar.

Lopez went the first five innings on the mound, giving up four hits and two walks while striking out 14. Lollar pitched two scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out three.

Oakman got all the offense it needed in the first inning, taking a 1-0 lead. The Wildcats (1-2) added three runs in the third and one in the fifth. Lollar was 2 for 2 with a run and an RBI, Dawson Crowell was 1 for 3 with two RBIs, Lopez was 1 for 4 with an RBI, Brayden Ray was 1 for 3 with a run, Malachi Bridges was 1 for 4 with a run, Logan Martin was 1 for 3, Ketch Jones scored a run and had an RBI and Chase Moody scored a run.

For Carbon Hill (0-3), Matthew Wallace,  Braden Amerson, Haden Pare, Blake Wright and Caleb Kilgore had hits.

Wright took the loss, giving up four runs, one earned, on five walks and three hits while striking out four in three innings.

Oakman hosts Dora Tuesday. Carbon Hill plays at Phil Campbell on Tuesday.
