CORDOVA — Cordova scored in every inning and got RBIs from seven different players in a 12-2, five-inning home win over county rival Curry on Friday.

CORDOVA — Cordova scored in every inning and got RBIs from seven different players in a 12-2, five-inning home win over county rival Curry on Friday.

Curry struck first, scoring two runs in the first inning. It was all Cordova after that.

The Blue Devils (16-10) scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning behind five hits, a walk and an error. Cordova added three more runs in the second inning for a 7-2 advantage.

Nathan Bullocks led the Blue Devils’ attack, going 3 for 4 with two runs and two RBIs, Jacob Headrick was 1 for 3 with two runs and two RBIs, Zac Bozeman was 1 for 2 with two runs and an RBI, Zakye Holiday was 1 for 2 with a stolen base, two runs and an RBI, Mason Robertson was 1 for 2 with a run and an RBI, Nathan Samples was 1 for 3 with a run and an RBI, Brady Ireland was 1 for 2 with two runs and Kage Williams was 1 for 3 with an RBI. Holiday earned the win, allowing two runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out seven in five innings.

For Curry (6-21), Caleb Dunagan was 2 for 3 with an RBI, Cody Dunagan was 1 for 3 with a run, Nick Molinar was 1 for 3 with an RBI, Ethan Wideman was 1 for 2 with a run and both Tanner Rowe and Parker Anderson added hits.

Weston Horton took the loss, giving up seven runs, five earned, on six hits and two walks with two strikeouts in two innings.

Cordova closes out the regular season with a home game against West Point on Monday. The Blue Devils host Winfield in a first-round playoff series starting Friday. Curry plays at Sumiton Christian on Monday.
