Oakman looks to defeat its second straight county opponent tonight when the Cordova Blue Devils make the trip to Hosea Collins Field for a 7 p.m. kickoff.

The Wildcats rebounded from a loss to Gordo with a 27-7 region win at Carbon Hill last week. Oakman scored the final 27 points of the game after facing an early 7-0 deficit.

Cordova is still in search of its first win following a 48-28 loss at Northside last week. For the second straight week the Blue Devils got a huge outing from an offensive player with running back Justin Wallace racking up 261 yards and all four Cordova touchdowns. Quarterback Kason Smith, who missed the Northside game, had a three-touchdown performance against Fayette County in the previous game.

Oakman is led by senior running back Christian Hubbard, who has 637 yards and 10 touchdowns on 76 carries through four games.

The Wildcats (3-1) snapped a five-game losing streak to Cordova last year, winning 28-8 on the road.

Cordova (0-5) is playing its third consecutive road game tonight.
