Linda G. Plyler, 78, of Dora, passed away oWednesday, May 8, 2019.
She was a graduate of Dora High School, Class of 1959. She was retired from Carraway Methodist Medical Center after 28 years. Linda was known by everyone as the “Can Lady.”
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 13, 2019, at 11:30 a.m. in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Lewis Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held today from 5 until 5:30 p.m. for family and public visitation from 5:30 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her son, Brent Walters; parents, Elzie and Lora Harrison; sisters, Flora Vinston, Billie Roden, Claudine Gann and Barbara Roberts and brothers, Joe and Fred Harrison.
Survivors include her daughter, Tamara “Tami” Walters; grandchildren, Hali Baskin (Joseph, Jr) and Blake Walters (Jordyn Fountain); great-grandchildren, Zeeland, Wren and Ambrose Baskin and Payton Walters (due in August); several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and close friends, Joan “J Mac” McNamee, Bridget Adams and Wendy Shelton.
