Lila Downey, 86, of Mooreville, Miss., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017.
Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel in Fayette at 1 p.m. The Rev. John Butler and Rev. Billy West will officiate. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the services. Burial will follow at Pea Ridge Cemetery.
Downey was a member of Union Grove Church of God of Prophecy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Jackson Kimbrell and Della M. James; husband, Arthur Downey; brothers, Orville Kimbrell, Arnold Kimbrell, and Calvin Kimbrell; sisters, Lola Mae Kimbrell and Joyce Kujala; grandson, Jordan Jones; stepdaughter, Sue Dees; and husband, Ray.
She is survived by her two daughters, Carolyn Young (John) of Mooreville, Miss., and Patricia Jones (Bill); three sons, James Lovette-Black of San Francisco, California, Gary Lovette (Becky) of Muscle Shoals, and Tim Lovette (Donna) of Burnsville, Miss.; step-sons, Olen Lovette Jr. (Pat) of Belmont, Miss. and Butch Downey Jr. (June) of Saragossa; three brothers, Melvin Kimbrell, Bobby Jack Kimbrell (Judy) and Carmel Lynn Kimbrell; one sister, Mavis Files (John Henry) of Berry; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; 18 step great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and three step-great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan “Andy” Young, Hunter Roberts, Jeff Young Jr., Landon Lovette, McKinley Lovette, T.J. Lovette and Michael Hudson.
Honorary pallbearers are the staff of The Meadows.
