Laureate Rho

The March 6 meeting of Laureate Rho was hosted by Mary Ann Seel. St. Patrick's Day refreshments were served from a gaily decorated table to the members. Corresponding Secretary Phyllis Casson shared thank you cards from Reggie Plyler, Linda and Wade Clark and Kathy and Chuck McKeller,


Tentative plans were made for the April social to be on the 5th at Stone bridge in Cullman with a tour of the  aJ1  museum at Wallace State. Recipient of the Service donation for March will be the Pregnancy and Testing Resource Center.


Members attending the Beta Sigma Phi Area Luncheon in Hartselle shared news of the event. President Daisy Aldridge stated the State Convention in June will be in Decatur Aldridge reminded members of the Memorial Ritual for Alice Hamner and the nomination of Woman of the Year at the March 20 meeting.


Presenting the day's program "Hugs" was Aldridge.


At the March 20 meeting of Laaureate Rho, a Memorial Ritual was given for member Alice Hamner A special memorial book signed by Beta Sigma Phi International Officers and the Laureate Rho members was presented to husband, Barney Hamner. 


Treasurer Cherie Woodard stated the annual donation to the Walker College Foundation would be presented in late March. Social Chairman Linda Berry shared that due to the recent storms in the Cullman area, the social to Stonebridge and Wallace State may need to be rescheduled. Plans will be finalized for the April 27 Founder's Day at the April 3 meeting. Program assignments were made and the Woman of the Year was elected (she will be honored at Founder's Day). 


The day's program was the election of officers and the current officers will serve for the 2018-2019 year.
