Jasper’s tennis teams cruised to wins over Indian Springs at Valley Park on Tuesday. The boys earned a 9-0 win while the girls won 8-1.

Jasper tennis teams top Indian Springs

Jasper’s tennis teams cruised to wins over Indian Springs at Valley Park on Tuesday. The boys earned a 9-0 win while the girls won 8-1.

Both Jasper teams are 2-0 this week after earning wins over Cullman on Monday. The boys won 9-0 while the girls won 7-2.

Against Indian Springs, boys singles winners were No. 1 Mason Woodman (10-2), No. 2 Grayson Barber (10-0), No. 3 Jack Bryan (10-1), No. 4 Alex Barber (10-1), No. 5 Stephen Williams (10-2) and No. 6 Conner Wesley (10-2).

In doubles play, the No. 1 team of Bryan and Grayson Barber won 10-2, the No. 2 team of Woodman and Alex Barber won 10-0 and the No. 3 team of Williams and Wesley won 10-1.

For the Jasper girls, singles winners were No. 2 Amelia Poolos (10-2), No. 3 Sophia Poolos (10-2), No. 4 Lillian Griffin (forfeit), No. 5 Morgan Aldridge (10-0) and No. 6 Jenna Brown (10-2).

In doubles play the No. 1 team of Poolos and Poolos won 10-8, the No. 2 team of Mary Alice Pearson and Griffin won 10-2 and the No. 3 team of Brown and Gracie Spivy won 10-2.
