James Daniel Cook

James Daniel Cook, 81, of Carbon Hill, went home to be with the Lord Monday, July 1, 2019, at Walker Rehabilitation Center.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2019,   from 11 a.m. until noon at Homewood Full Gospel Church of God in Kansas, with funeral service at noonat the church. Burial will follow at Carbon Hill Memorial Cemetery in Carbon Hill. Johnny Sims will officiate the funeral service, and E.J. Lowery will officiate the graveside service.

Cook served the Lord in ministry in Tampa, Fla., in 1970 and returned to Carbon Hill when he retired.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dillard and Florabell Cook; son, Robert D. Cook; and brother, Dillard Junior Cook.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Alvie Cook; children, Alice Cook Scates (Randy) and Pamela Cook Rothenberger (Tony); daughter-in-law, Cheryl Cook(Late Robert Cook); grandchildren, Joshua Cook, Jennifer Cook, Jacob Cook, Matthew Middleton, Simon Cook, Shea Rothenberger, Shanna Rothenberger, Diane Van-Nocker, Raymond Rodriguez; and great-grandchildren, Brittany, Anssa, Zachary, Brayden, Clayton, Chelsea, Madeline, Myleigh, Carleigh, Samuel and Baylee.
