Lynn broke open a close game in the third quarter en route to a 38-19 victory at Phillips on Friday night.
The Bears held a slim 18-13 halftime lead before outscoring Phillips 14-0 in the third quarter to open up a 32-13 advantage.
Jordan Davis and Noah Jackson did most of Lynn’s damage on the ground. Davis rushed 15 times for 119 yards and two scores while Jackson rushed 13 times for 91 yards and four scores. He also completed 8 of 13 passes for 198 yards. Chase Hockett was his top receiver, hauling in four passes for 90 yards. Brandon Hill had two catches for 80 yards.
Phillips led 7-6 after the first quarter. Jackson scored Lynn’s first four touchdowns. He put the Bears on top for good with a 33-yard run for an 18-12 second-quarter lead. He added a 9-yard score in the third quarter for a 26-12 lead.
Davis went 58 yards for his first score, putting the Bears up 32-12. He added 6-yard run for a 38-12 advantage in the fourth quarter. Lynn hosts Marion County next week.
