September 17, 1924 - March 20, 2020

Hildred Young White, 95, of Jasper fell asleep and awoke March 20, 2020, in the arms of Jesus to Him saying, "Well done, good and faithful servant." While we mourn her passing we are not without hope! We know she is rejoicing in the presence of her Savior. She will be deeply missed but we expectantly await our reunion.

Hildred White was preceded in death by her first husband, the Rev. John W. Young. Mrs. White is survived by her husband, Floyd H. White; daughters, Loretta Young Thornhill (James) and Patricia Young Travis (Robert - deceased); sisters, Geraldine Hogan and Betty Spain; grandchildren, Terre Solomon (Ed) and Wes Thornhill (Melanie); six great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

There will be a private graveside service Sunday afternoon, March 29, 2020. A celebration of life will be held at Dora First Baptist Church at a later date when large public gatherings are allowed by the state.

Hildred was a wonderful example of the Proverbs 31 woman. Everyone who knew her was better for it, and the world is dimmer now that she has left.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to one of the following: First Baptist Church Dora, AL, the Gideons or Child Evangelism Fellowship of Alabama, Inc.
