Heroin recovered on traffic stop

Posted

A Jasper man was arrested in Oakman Saturday for being in possession of nearly enough heroin to be considered as a trafficking charge.

Jeremy Lynn Kimbrell, 41, of Jasper, was charged with possession with the intent to distribute heroin, a class B felony.

Narcotics Investigators Krimson Culverson and Jim Browne were out working drug complaints when they made the traffic stop and seized 3.67 grams of heroin.

"Heroin is often sold in 1/10th or 1/20th of a gram increments, so this is a large amount to run across during a traffic stop," according to a Walker County Sheriff's Office release.
