Havis places first at Pelham Invitational

Jasper’s Maney Havis went a perfect 6-0 in matches on Friday and Saturday to place first in the Pelham Invitational, helping the Vikings finish 4th overall among 15 teams.

Havis secured his victory in the 145-pound, first-place match via 8-4 decision and advanced his record on the year to 27-2 overall.

The Vikings finished the event with most team pins at 37, while also finishing second in technical falls and match points.

Dora’s Bubba Henderson also competed at the event, going 5-1 and earning a second-place finish in the 285 pound class.
