Gary Frank Cooper, 75, of Hilltop Lakes, Texas, loving husband, father of four children, and paw-paw, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2020.
Gary served in the Navy for approximately six years. He was a retired supervisor in a surface coal mine for approximately 43 years. Gary truly enjoyed spending time with his family, grandkids, and watching Alabama Crimson Tide football.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Cooper; mother, Viva Cooper; and brother, Thomas Cooper.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Cooper of Hilltop Lakes, Texas; daughters, Theresa Minor (Jeff) of Quinton, Ala., Darlene Lyons (Gary) of Roan Mountain, Tenn., and Cindy Roberson (Otis) of Roan Mountain, Tenn.; son, Andrew Cooper (Kameron) of Hilltop Lakes, Texas; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Dodd; brothers, George Cooper, Mack Cooper, Bill Cooper, Ricky Cooper, and Ronnie Cooper, and a host of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 11, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Gibson Hill Cemetery in Berry. Johnny Martin will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
Flowers can be ordered through Jasper Florist, 205-512-1333. They will make one delivery to the graveside.
Once you turn off of AL-18W onto Gibson Hill Road, the cemetery is located one mile ahead on the left.
