Garland Ray Lively, 77, of Jasper, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 surrounded by his family. Ray was a very giving man. He gave not only of his time, wallet and wisdom but also of his heart. He was also known to give you a piece if his mind if he thought you needed it, whether you thought so or not. He was a faithful member of Walker County Shrine Club. He was a member of Cordova Lodge 559 and a Master Mason. He was also a Retired Boilermaker.
He is preceded in death by his father, Garland O. “Kiddo” Lively, his mother, Maxine Lovelle “Mama” Lively, and son, Michael Ray Lively.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Judy” Ganey; son, G.O. Lively (Connie); daughters, Cynthia Swann (Thomas) and Jerri Lynn Herring (Michael); his brother, Adrian Jack “Buster” Lively; his sisters, Sharon Cook, Gay Roden, and Misty Sargent, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no service held.
