SUMITON – Chamber officials future events in the East Walker County area at Tuesday's monthly East Walker Chamber of Commerce meeting.

The chamber calendar for the last quarter of 2018 will kick off next week. A Meet & Greet is planned at Sumiton City Hall on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the meeting room. Chamber president Doug Ragsdale extended an invitation to all local businesses and individuals who would like to attend.

“It’s a great time to network with other local businesses and community leaders,” Ragsdale said.

A health fair is planned for Friday, Nov. 9, from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Lee's Family Restaurant. Chamber members can have a health-related booth free of charge. Non-members businesses can also participate in the health fair for a charge of $10 for the booth space.

East Walker's Christmas parade will be Thursday, Dec. 13, at 6 p.m. Details about parade route and entry applications will be posted on www.eastwalkerchamber.com.

Also during the meeting, Carol Jones of Noble Work discussed future plans for charity work in the East Walker County area.

The next monthly meeting will be on Nov. 13,  at noon. Meetings are held at Lee’s Family Restaurant in Sumiton.
