Dwight “Allan” Kimbrell, 47, of Berry, passed away at his residence on May 12, 2018, surrounded by his three sons’ mother and Jeaneice Berryhill.
He was able to die peacefully at home surrounded by the place he had grown up and enjoyed living at all of his life. He was a loving, caring, supportive father who raised his sons to be the wonderful young men they are today. He was his parents’ first born, bringing joy into their lives and life will not be complete without him. Allan was always helping others, never leaving anyone behind, had a heart of gold and a soul that could do wonders.
Allan was preceded in death by his father, Dwight Kimbrell; his grandparents, John and Bobbie Kimbrell and Ellie and Eva Kimbrell.
He is survived by his three sons, Colton Kimbrell (Toni), Caleb Kimbrell (Amber) and Tanner Kimbrell; his mother, Johnnie K. Kimbrell; brother, Steve Kimbrell; granddaughter, MeKena Kimbrell; and grandson, Reed Kimbrell.
Pallbearers will include Wesley Barrentine, Steve Martin, Justin Adams, Jamie Mullinex, Charles Kimbrell and Timothy Bickerton.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Flatwoods Baptist Church in Berry, with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, May 14, 2018, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 15, 2018, from 1 until 2 p.m. at Flatwoods Baptist Church in Berry. Chris Bozeman will officiate. Collins-Burke Funeral Home will direct.
