WORTHWHILE STUDY CLUB

The Worthwhile Study Club met on April 12, 2018 at the Walker College Foundation House.

The program was presented by newly appointed Bevill State president, Dr. Kim Ennis. She spoke to the club members about her 33 year history with Bevill State and the progress that has been made during that time period.

Mrs. Ennis reported that the enrollment at Bevill rose 13% from fall 2016 to fall 2017. She also spoke about the dual enrollment program with local high school students. Members asked questions about the future plans for the Jasper campus and expressed appreciation to Mrs. Ennis for sharing those plans with our club.

Following the program, refreshments were served to eleven members. The hostesses were Montae Cain and Jackie Gray.

The business meeting was presided over by President Lela Robbins, and she led the club members in reciting the Collect.

Club members voted to give a donation to the Walker College Foundation in appreciation for allowing the club to use its facilities for meetings.

Montae Cain announced that next month's meeting will be held on May 2 at Musgrove Country Club.

Hilda Ray gave the "Thought for the Day," and the meeting was adjourned.
