NOTICE

• Matthew Ministry Outreach/Soup kitchen is held every Friday at 11 a.m. at LifeSprings Assembly of God on Highway 195.

• Mt. Carmel Baptist Church on Horse Creek Blvd. in Cordova holds a Soup Kitchen every Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. 

• Boldo United Methodist Church holds a clothes closet the second Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.


SATURDAY, NOV. 16

• The Carbon Hill Church of God of Prophecy will offer a community Thanksgiving meal, "Share Yours", for families from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. First come, first served. This is a free meal open to anyone in the community. If you would like to contribute or have further questions, contact Jacob at 205-300-3807.

• Members of Wright's Chapel A.M.E. Church Jasper will have a Community Day of Prayer/Founder's Day program at 2 p.m. along with "His Grace Praise Dancers" Performing. Refreshments will be served and everyone is welcome and invited to attend the program. Come out and have a glorious time praying, singing, praising, and thanking the Lord for His goodness to us. If you wish to serve as a Prayer Partner or for more information, please call 205-221-3296.

• Berry Civic Center will host a Southern Gospel Concert at 6 p.m. with singers Trusting Grace from Bessemer and The Busby Family from Berry. Admission is free, a love offering will be received. This will be the last singing in 2019, and they will pick back up on the third Saturday of January.

NOV. 17-20

A gospel meeting will be held Nov. 17-20 at the Zion Church of Christ at 20 Zion Loop in Parrish. The speaker will be Bro. Lynn Briscoe of Chickasaw.  The Nov. 17 meeting will be at 2 p.m., while the Nov. 18-20 meetings will be at 7 p.m.

SUNDAY, NOV. 17

• First Baptist Church in Jasper will celebrate Women's Day 2019 at 3:00 p.m. for worship with Sis. Bonnie Lavender of Elizabeth Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa.

• Hunter's Chapel Holy Church of Christ will have a singing with New Ground on Nov. 17 at 5 p.m.

• Argo Church of God will hold a homecoming on Sunday, Nov. 17. Services begin at 10:30 a.m. The guest speaker is Rev. Randy Eubanks. The guest singers will be New Ground. Lunch will be at the noon hour, with an afternoon singing at 1:30 p.m. featuring New Ground. The church is on Alabama Highway 5 / U.S. Highway 78. NOV. 17-22

A revival will be held at Maranatha Baptist Church at 1705 Barker St. in Jasper from Nov. 17-22 at 6:30 p.m. each night. Guest preachers will include: Sunday, Jeff Isbell of Pleasant Valley Baptist in Bessemer; Monday, Antonio Jackson of New Life Christian Church in Jasper; Tuesday, James Gardner of Jasper Christian Center; Alonzo Harper of First Baptist Frisco in Jasper; Josh Hickey of Pine Ridge Baptist in Bessemer; and Joe Daniels of Westside Baptist in Jasper. 

SATURDAY, NOV. 23

• New Bethel Church of God in Christ will be holding a community senior citizen Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 5 p.m. at the Lueada Meadows Smith Center at 419 Crutchfield Blvd. in Jasper.  All senior citizens are invited for a meal; door prizes will be available. Pastor Avery Pruitt is the church pastor. Anyone wanting more information may call 205-799-1870. 

THURSDAY, NOV. 28

• Glory Fellowship will host a Thanksgiving Dinner at the Jasper Civic Center from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Call 387-0500 if you have any questions.

SUNDAY, DEC. 1

• Cordova First Baptist Church at 3965 Mass. Ave. will hold a Lottie Moon Christmas Auction on Dec. 1, starting with a silent auction at 5 p.m. and a live auction at 6:15 p.m. Vacation getaways, art work, dinner for two at several restaurants and more will be up for auction.
