Upcoming church happenings, gospel singings and cemetery cleanings/meetings will be featured each Wednesday and Saturday in the Daily Mountain Eagle, and daily on the Community Calendar at www.mountaineagle.com. Events are listed free of charge. They are listed by calendar date and time as space allows, so there is no guarantee when or the number of days an event will run. Events are only accepted from local churches, faith-based ministries or organizations, and cemetery associations. SATURDAY, MARCH 3

Jasper First Nazarene at 400 14th Avenue W. in Jasper, will have a yard sale on Saturday, March 3, from 7:30 a.m.-12. p.m. at the church. Rain or shine.

The Church at Beech Grove at 347 Beech Grove Rd. in Townley will not host a singing in March, but will return to its regular first Saturday night singing schedule in April.

Winston County Gospel Theater (formerly Looney’s Tavern) on Alabama Highway 278 near Houston will hosts a gospel singing the first Saturday of each month at 6 p.m. Featured guest singers for March will be the bluegrass group, A.M. Ramblers.

Townley Community Center in Townley will have the Kingsmen Quartet in concert on Saturday, March 3, at 6 p.m. Discount tickets can be purchased for $10 at FNB of Hamilton in Carbon Hill, Victoria’s Restaurant Gift Shop, Western Finance, and Stewart Family Pools and Christian Bookstore in Parkland Shopping Center. Tickets at the door are $12.

Sunday, March 4

Saragossa Baptist Church Mens Prayer Group meets each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at the church.

Jasper First Baptist Church at 1604 4th Ave. in Jasper will host the Walker Baptist Association’s Spring Evangelism Conference Sunday, March 4, 2018, at 6 p.m. at the church. Guest evangelist will be Dr. Robert Smith Jr., who holds the Charles T. Carter Baptist Chair of Divinity at Beeson Divinity School where he teaches Christian Preaching. Everyone is invited to attend. Nauvoo United Methodist Church on Third Avenue in Nauvoo hosts AA (Alcoholic Anonymous) and NA (Narcotics Anonymous) meetings each Monday and Friday at 6 p.m. at the church.

Nauvoo Church of God will host NA (Narcotics Anonymous) and AA (Alcoholic Anonymous) One Step Group meetings each Monday from 67 p.m. at the church. Meals provided.

Awakening Life Church on Alabama Highway 257 in Jasper holds a CelebrateLIFE recovery and restoration accountability and support group meeting each Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the church. Northside Baptist Church at 500 U.S. Highway 78 in Jasper will host a Alzheimer’s Disease Seminar on Thursday, March 15, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the church. The keynote speaker will be, Miller Piggott, the executive director of Alzheimer’s of Central Alabama in Birmingham. The seminar is open to all who would like to attend. No charge for admission.
