Bevill State Community College has been ranked as one of the best online community colleges in Alabama.

Bevill State ranked fourth in the state of 2019 Best Online Community College Rankings, according to SR Education Group, which focuses on education research.

A press release from Cision PRWeb states the rankings were determined in each state based on retention rates, graduation rates and online enrollment data. The number of online associate degrees offered at each college was also considered.

"Bevill State Community College prides itself on the quality of all of our programs, whether it be academic or career technical, a traditional or online classroom setting," Bevill State President Dr. Kim Ennis said. "The instructors at Bevill State go above and beyond for all of their students. This is reflected by the college being named in the top five of the 2019 Best Online Community Colleges in Alabama."

Bevill State's Director of Public Relations Tana Collins provided a list of online programs offered at the college, which includes an associate in applied science in office administration and technology, an associate in applied science in entrepreneurship and management, and an associate in applied science in child development.

Bevill State also offers an online associate in science degree in general studies.

Two programs designed for academic transfer are provided by Bevill State: an associate in arts in liberal arts and an associate in science in business administration.

“Community colleges offer some of the most affordable degrees in the country. With a growing number of these degrees becoming available online, we wanted to let prospective students know about these great, accessible options near them," SR Education Group CEO Sung Rhee said. "By providing these resources, we hope to help more people reach their educational and professional goals.”

Wallace State Community College-Hanceville topped the list of Best Online Community Colleges in the state, followed by John C. Calhoun State Community College, Snead State Community College and Bevill State.

SR Education Group notes that Bevill State offers traditional web-based courses and live-class streams with two-way voice and video functions for online students.
