Four people died early Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 22 in Jasper.

Walker County coroner Joey Vick said Monica Daniele Jackson, 49; Daniel Izell Johnson, 42; Kheri Thomas Ayers, 29; and Tamblyn J. Jackson, 50, all died instantly in the crash that happened at 1:50 a.m. on I-22 between Exit 63 (Parrish exit) and Exit 61 (Oakman/Tuscaloosa exit).

All four were from Little Rock, Arkansas, and were traveling in a Nissan Altima driven by Monica Jackson, Alabama State Troopers said Thursday night.

Michael Troy Majors, 25, of Bessemer, was driving a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup that collided with the Nissan. He survived the crash and was taken to Walker Baptist Medical Center.

State Troopers say Majors was traveling west in the eastbound lanes and collided with the vehicle carrying the four people who died.

Local authorities said Majors may face criminal charges related to the crash.
