Cordova High School is looking for a new football coach.

Former head coach Woody Smothers resigned from his post on Tuesday after two years at the school.

The Blue Devils finished 3-7 in 2012. Cordova started the season 0-6, but won three of its last four games, including a 42-28 victory over county rival Curry in the regular-season finale.

During his two years as the head coach, Smothers guided the Blue Devils to a 9-12 record. Cordova finished 6-5 in 2011, advancing to the first round of the playoffs.
