The Rev. John Dan Martin of Jasper has gone home to be the Lord, whom he served many years, on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at the age of 90. He was born on Aug. 31, 1922.

He pastored nine churches and was loved and will be missed by his loving family and friends.

The family will receive friends today, May 23, 2013, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at Mt. Joy Cemetery. Wayne Williams, Archie Homan and Kevin Martin will officiate, Collins-Burke Funeral Home will direct.

Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ada Martin; four brothers; and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Betrice Martin of Jasper; daughter, Carolyn Clouse (Bob) of Jasper; sons, Kenneth Martin (Marcella) of Vinemont and Ronald Martin (Vickie) of Jasper; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be: Kevin Martin, Jeff Clouse, Keith Martin, Scott Clouse, Alex Martin, Dalton Miller, Billy Griffith, Gabriel Martin, Isiah Martin and Kian Martin.
