Stella Vondell White Morris, 77, of Oakman, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at her residence surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at the New Hope Church of Christ in Oakman. Brother Neil Myers will officiate. Burial will follow at the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Velma C. Brakefield; step-father, L.T. Brakefield; father, Robert D. White Sr.; brother, Robert Derrel White; and sisters, Gertrude Adair and Crystal Keeton.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, William Edward (Buddy) Morris; son, Mike Morris and his wife, Anita; daughter, Alesia Myers and her husband, James; four sisters; one sister-in-law; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
