Shirley was a member of First Baptist Church Colbert Heights where she loved serving the Lord, especially in the nursery and childrens departments. The things she enjoyed most was caring for her family, reading her bible, and enjoying fellowship with their many wonderful friends. Shirley and Terrell especially enjoyed time spent with a special group of friends called "the motor home gang". They spent many days traveling with the "motor home gang" and made too many wonderful memories to count. Those were truly blessed times for them all.
Terrell was the love of her life and even when this disease had taken so many memories from her, you could still see her love for him in her eyes. "And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13:13
We would like to say a special thank you to those that helped care for our mother; Dr. David Clark and staff, Dr. James Ashmore and staff, Hospice of North Alabama, her Sunday School Class and especially Linda Bratton, Mechele Williams and Doris Hatton that lovingly cared for her and always treated her with love and respect.
To our sweet Mother, the world will never be the same but we know you're with the Lord you loved so much. Thank you for being such a sweet example of Christ's love for all those who knew and loved you.
