She was born on November 27, 1963, in Lawrence County to Jimmy Lee Hammack and Hazel I. Millwood Hammack. She was a member of Houston Church of God for more than 30 years, where she was a Sunday School teacher. She graduated from Addison High School and was a dietary aid for 25 years at Hendrix Health Care.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Houston Church of God, where she will lie in state from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will be at Houston Church of God Cemetery. Reverends Aaron Gann and Alvis Treece will officiate.
She is survived by her husband of 9 ½ years, Thedford (Buddy) Jones III; mother, Hazel Downard; brothers, Robert (Oma Lou) Hammack, Johnny (Diana) Hammack, Nathaniel (Rebekah) Hammack; sister, Patricia (Dee) Johnson; and several stepsons, stepdaughters and stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ricky Treece; father, Jimmy Hammack; grandparents, George and Eula Hammack, and Lester and Ruby Millwood; brother, Marvin Hammack; niece, Christy Hammack; and nephew, Anthony Hammack.
