Sally C. Wafer of Arley passed away on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at UAB Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of David A. Wafer Sr. Sally was born and raised in Albuquerque, N.M. She was the daughter of Jane (Gunderson) (Williams) Johnson and the late Hugh H. Williams Jr.

She is survived by her husband, David A. Wafer, Sr. of Arley, Ala.; one son, David A. Wafer Jr. and his wife Nina Willard Wafer, two grandchildren, David A. Wafer, III (Trey) and Addison Wafer of Murrieta, Calif.; her mother Jane (Gunderson) (Williams) Johnson of Eagle Grove, Iowa; two sisters, Jeanne E. (Williams) Johnson, Ann (Williams) Neeley; and one brother, Erik A. Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hugh H. Williams Jr.; and two brothers, Hugh H. Williams III and Ronald E. Johnson

Funeral services were held on Dec. 13, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Cecelia Catholic Church, 2159 AL Hwy. 195, Jasper, AL.

The family will also have a celebration of life at a later date.
