The family will receive friends on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at 6 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at noon in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at Bennett Cemetery.
Mr. Hicks was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Denice Bigham; brother, Wayne Hicks; and parents, Raymon and Lanell Hicks.
He is survived by his daughter, Janet "Marty" Hicks Everwein (Gary); sons, Bobby Allen Hicks (Tosha), David Hicks (Christa) and Mark Hicks (Crystal); sisters,"Sis" Whitlow (Terry), Susie Key (Billy) and Renae Downey (Tim); brother, Kenneth Hicks (Amy); eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Many other children considered him Paw Paw, who he loved dearly.
