Opal L. Jones, 85, of the Boley Springs Community of Fayette County, died on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at her residence. Funeral service for Mrs. Jones will be held on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Boley Church of the Nazarene with Bro. Haskell Tinker and Bro. Jimmy Earnest officiating. Burial will follow in the Flatwoods Cemetery. The visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Norwood Chapel.

Mrs. Jones was born in Isola, Miss. on April 1, 1927, the daughter of the late Harry V. Morris and Alice Lavelle Ingram Morris. She was a resident of the Boley Community since 1977 and was formerly employed at the US Apparel Garment Plant in Berry. She was a member of the Boley Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by two daughters, Nan Bishop (Jim) of Mission, Texas. and Violet Evans of Nashville, Tenn.; five sons, Wayne Reynolds (Robin) of Savannah, Ga., Doug Reynolds (Ronda) of Carpentersville, Ill., Roger Jones (Susie) of Lake Zurick, Ill., Ron Reynolds of Nashville, Tenn. and Jim Jones (Kathy) of Berry.; two sisters, Edna Rutland of Jackson Miss., Julia Frasu of Penn Valley, Calif.; one brother, Hughie Morris of Brentwood, Tenn.; 23 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hermon Jones; and three sons, Richard Reynolds, Sandy Jones and Allen Jones.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Turner, Mark Jones, Scott Patton, Roy Moore, Jason Raynes, Forest Smith and Michael Jones.
