Matha Lou Watson, 69, of Dora, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012, at the UAB Palliative Care Unit in Birmingham. Ms. Watson will be cremated according to her wishes and the family will have a memorial service on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the New Life Worship Center in West Jefferson. Her life was one always centered of love, compassion, and the giving of herself to others unconditionally. She was a very loving mother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Watson and Lula Neumann; and brothers, Lyn Watson and Larry Watson.

She is survived by her son, Greg Yarbrough and his wife, Jessica, of Jenks, Okla.; grandsons,Thomas, Logan, and Chris of Jenks, Okla.; sisters, Shirley Benton and her husband, Jim, of Sumiton, Glenda Howerton of Hobart, Ind., Patti Simmons and husband, Jerry, of Sumiton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
