Margrette Tesseneer Dodd, 90, of Clanton, formerly of Forestdale, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2013. She was retired from Birmingham Sash and Door Company with 35 years of service, member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was well known for her delicious homemade bread, cakes, pies, candies and especially by her grandchildren for her chocolate chip cookies. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garvin Dodd; parents, L. H. and Nellie Tesseneer; three brothers, Cecil, Hubert and Jack; and two sisters, Lorene and Juanita.

She is survived by her daughter, Nella Mullinax (Sammie); grandchildren, Gilbert H. Abernathy (Vanessa), Herbert L. Abernathy (Lita), Larry Mullinax (Laurie) and Mike Mullinax; great-grandchildren, Justin, Kalli, Kassidy, Hannah, Karson, Gabe, Rylee, Joseph, Amanda, Matt, Amber, Chelsea, Gage and Anna.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. today, May 30, 2013, at Bell Forestdale Chapel with burial following at Highland Memorial Gardens. Rick O’Brien will officiate. Visitation will be today one hour prior to service.
