Margaret Helen Adcock, 93, of Jasper, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 27, 2014. She was born Feb. 12, 1921.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 29, 2014, at noon at Collins-Burke Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 29, 2014, at 1 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at Elmwood Cemetery.

Helen was born in Opelika, the last of 11 children. She attended Beauregard High School and retired as head teller at Birmingham Trust National Bank.

She and her husband, Howard, were longtime residents at Smith Lake and members of Farmstead Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a generous and enthusiastic hostess and cook by her many friends and family.

Helen was preceded in death by her son, Howard Eric Adcock; and parents, Charlie B. and Mattie Chandler.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Howard Adcock; her daughters, Martha Ross (Bob) and Pamela Bakane (Mike); grandsons, John Andrews (Lisa) and David Andrews; granddaughter, Allison Woods; and great-grandsons, Patrick Andrews, Mason Andrews, Jack Andrews, Wynn Andrews and Forrest McMullen.
