The family will receive friends today, Feb. 15, 2013, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at noon in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at Goodsprings Church of Christ Cemetery. Mark Otts and Lynn Hitt will officiate. Collins-Burke Funeral Home will direct.
Jenkins was preceded in death by his father, Othel Lee Jenkins; grandparents, Ocie Parker Sr. and Gene Parker, and Lorn Jenkins and Minnie Jenkins Evans; uncles, Jerry Parker and Ocie Parker Jr.; aunt, Ulamae Goodman; niece, Emily Grace Lane; and nephew, Dalton Lane.
He is survived by his mother, Jimmie Jenkins of Carbon Hill; sisters, Darlene (Grady) Herron of Nauvoo, Freida Sanford of Goodsprings, Mary (Oscar) Nalley of Cranehill and Sandra (Dean) Key of Curry; brothers, Lee Jenkins of Stapleton, "Bo" Jenkins of Carbon Hill and Jason Jenkins (Bobbie) of Carbon Hill; host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and best friend, Greg Harris.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Jenkins, Tim Madison, James Jent, Brandon Williams, Preston Herron, Barry Pate, Jerry Wayne Parker and Alan Key.
