He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 56 years, Carolyn Spears; son, Charles Spears (Lisa); daughters, Lynn Good (Dean), Connie Tidwell (Phillip), and JoCarol Swann (Jerry); 17 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 5 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held today, Jan. 5, 2013, at Enon Baptist Church, 724 Morris Majestic Road in Morris, with a visitation from noon until service time at 1 p.m. Dr. John Hambright will officiate. Interment will follow at Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale.
