John W. Boue Goodson, 61, of Eldridge, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Northwest Medical Center in Winfield. He was born on March 19, 1951 in Winston County, a son of Frank Goodson and Amy Ruth Cagle Goodson. He was a resident of Jasper for a few years and a resident of Eldridge for the past several years. He was a retired farmer and cashier at Reese’s Drive In at Jasper, and his church affiliation was Church of Christ.

His survivors include his mother, Amy Cagle Boue Files of Jasper; four sisters, Paulette Sharp of Anniston, Deb Capps and her husband Lanny, Marie Young and her husband Ronnie, and Karen Ackerman, all of Jasper; three aunts, Bonzie Hyde, and Etheleen and Bobbie Cagle; nieces; nephews; lifelong friends, Bill Sanders, Sonny Dowdy and L.C. Odom; and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at 2 p.m. from the McGraw Memorial Chapel of Miles Funeral Home. Mike King will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers were Tim Hyde, Walt Ackerman, Tyler Young, Riley Partain, Johnnie Sharp and Jason Boue.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemtery in Jasper, with Miles Funeral Home of Winfield directing the service.
