Faith Chapel will be handling a graveside service for family at 10 a.m. today, Nov. 17, 2012, adjacent to Oakman Memorial Gardens in Oakman. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at New Bethel Baptist Church in Oakman. Pastor Steve L. Johnson, from Christian Save Mission Ministry in Chamblee, Ga. will officiate.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted mother, Lois Hampton of Oakman; four brothers, Robert (Audrey) Harrington of Roseville, Mich., David (Donna) Kelly, John Hampton of Oakman and Willie (April) Hampton of Oakman; four beautiful and loving sisters, Carolyn Hampton of Oakman, Glenda (Carl) Williams, Sandreda and TaQuita Jones, all of Birmingham; one aunt, Carrie Harrington of Birmingham; three uncles, Tommy (Juanita) Harrington of Vero Beach, Fla., John (Maggie) Harrington of Hamilton and James (Essie) Harrington of Caledonia, Miss.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers and friends; and special friends, Lorenzo Peeples, Nakita Davis, Michael Foster, David Marshall, Lisa, Tracy and Charmaine.
